Keefe Gorman- Upstate Lacrosse League

Based in Upstate New York, the Upstate Lacrosse League offers athletic opportunities to youths from kindergarten through high school. Its season runs from May to July every year and features five different divisions based on grade level. This allows players to perform against those of similar skill levels.

Each season consists of eight games with the rounds determined by the organization. On the first weekend, the teams play two games. For the following six weeks, each team competes in a single game every weekend. Moreover, the Upstate Lacrosse League runs tournaments, providing contestants with additional playing time. Teams practice twice a week on a schedule determined by coaches.

The Upstate Lacrosse League provides a chance for boys and girls to participate in this sport. Boys need to purchase equipment ranging from helmets and sticks to mouth pieces and gloves; for girls, the group requires only sticks, goggles, and mouth pieces.
