With nearly three decades of financial industry experience, Keefe Gorman currently serves as a managing director at Merrill Lynch. Keefe Gorman earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Lawrence University (SLU) under a competitive four-year scholarship. A component of his degree included studying abroad at the University of Madrid in Spain. In its Best 381 Colleges: 2017 Edition, The Princeton Review gave SLU high rankings in a number of categories. Noted as being warm and welcoming, SLU ranked high in Best Alumni Network (No. 6), Impact Schools (No.10), Most Active Students Government (No.12), Most Popular Study Abroad Program (No.15), and Top Internship Opportunities (No.25). Situated on a 1,000-acre campus in Canton, New York, the school was founded in 1856. It is the oldest continuously coeducational higher learning institution in New York State. Fall 2015 enrollment totaled 2,528 students with an average class size of 16 and a low student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1. Reports indicate that around 97 percent of students in the class of 2015 are working toward a higher degree in graduate school or are already employed. Best Colleges is the one of the most popular guides of The Princeton Review and only profiles approximately 15 percent of the 2,500 four-year colleges in the United States.
