Keefe Gorman works with Merrill Lynch in New York as a wealth manager. In addition to his work with Merrill Lynch, Keefe Gorman also supports Camp Good Days, an organization that provides residential programs (camps) for children with sickle cell anemia and cancer, children who have a parent or sibling with cancer or sickle cell anemia, and children who have lost a parent or sibling with cancer or sickle cell anemia.
This year, in response to social distancing requirements, Camp Good Days moved to a virtual platform and decided to end the week by hosting a parade. In the 41 years since its inception, it has held a week-long camp designed to help children with cancer, but because of the circumstances surrounding the pandemic, organizers had to make changes. The staff managed to pull together a camp in which the children had a good time. Twelve people volunteered to oversee the activities, and 56 children participated in yoga, games, gymnastics, arts and crafts, baking, and other activities. Afterward, the awards ceremony and sing-a-long that has usually closed the camp was replaced by a drive-through parade.
